A great midge pattern in the winter or during spring run-off when the water clarity is down. One option is to use a larger size (18,20) as a 1st fly attractor and rig a smaller pupa or emerger on the bottom.  Or use a smaller OJ Midge as the point fly below something larger. In either case, midges are available to trout year round, and my OJ Midge will get grabbed regularly on most western tailwaters.
