The San Juan River is one of the most highly rated trout fisheries in the U.S. -  Rainbow & Brown trout that average 16" to 18" (20" to 24" Rainbows are not uncommon) make this a favorite destination of fly fisherman. After discovering this scenic “catch and release only” fishery, compliments of a trip provided by my best friend, I decided to retire to Aztec from Southern California and pursue my passion for fly fishing full time. SanJuanRiverFlies.com resulted from my hobby and passion - enticing a trout that has seen countless flies to take one of my hand tied offerings. Upon hearing about my fly fishing success in retirement, my friends and family encouraged me to offer these flies to the public, so in 2013 I started San Juan River Flies online. I was fortunate to fish the San Juan River for 8 years with over 500 outings to the river, enabling me to offer some go to patterns that have produced countless quality fish from the San Juan river, as well as from tailwaters across the country by satisfied repeat customers.

To that end, I am sure you will find my hand tied quality flies a real bargain when all you really want is what really works.
