The “Big Mac” is designed to represent the occasional XL midges when they show up on the San Juan River, which can easily be twice the size of the most common midges.  From April through June the fish will key on this meaty meal when available and it is wise to be prepared.  Our version is tied on a size 22 long shank hook with subtle thread rib and resin coating.
